Cross Country

Cross Country is a competitive, difficult, exhilirating, and rewarding experience. As a team, we practice five times a week (during the fall) and race on saturdays. Our races are held in different parts of the city and often times we get to travel for races. Our races are all 5K's (5000 meters or 3.106 miles).

            Road Runs

 

Aerobic training and power training when running up hills. We do anywhere between one and a half miles to seven miles of running a day, averaging out to about 20 miles a week. 

 

 

            Track Workouts

 

Center around Max VO2 training

and Anaerobic threshold Runs. These workouts are often done in short intervals and repetitions.

            Canals

 

Once a week, we run on the canals in upper valley. This workout allows the blood to get to the muscles easier and facilitate movement. This workout falls under

aerobic power training and often lasts for over an hour and ten minutes.
